Provincial police are asking for the public’s help in locating those involved in a series of break and enters on Lake Mindemoya on Manitoulin Island.

“The investigation has determined that unknown individuals broke into ice shacks, causing significant damage and various stolen items,” the Ontario Provincial Police said in a statement.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122.

Those wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit information online at www.sudburycrimstoppers.com where they may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.

Mail stolen from Mindemoya

On Monday, March 7, the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of damaged mailboxes and missing items at the Canada Post office in Mindemoya.

Someone forcibly opened mailboxes, causing extensive damage, then stole mail and other packages inside.
