Del Mar College Announces August 22 Deadline to Nominate Three Seats on Board of Regents in November 2022 General Election – Alice Echo News Journal

Del Mar College District residents interested in running for one of three seats on the Board of Regents in the November 2022 general election must submit a completed nomination packet by 5 p.m. Monday, August 22. The 8th ballot took place on Saturday 23 July.

The Del Mar College District includes the entire area of ​​the independent school districts of Calallen, Corpus Christi, Flour Bluff, Tuloso-Midway, and West Oso.

Individuals can also request a package by emailing jaalaniz@delmar.edu.

Packages may be submitted by mail (Del Mar College, Attn: Jessica A. Alaniz, 101 Baldwin Blvd., Corpus Christi, Texas 78404-3897) or in person (Room 105A, Heldenfels Administration Building, Del Mar College Heritage Campus, Ayers Street). Packages may also be submitted by email to jaalaniz@delmar.edu or by fax to 361-698-2215 and must be received by the submission deadline.

In the November 8 general election, district residents will elect board representatives for College Districts 2 and 5 and one general position. A link to the College District Map (PDF file), showing the boundaries of these council seats, as well as a list of the electoral districts for each district, is posted on the Board of Regents Elections page.

The regents elected in November will serve a six-year term, which ends in 2028.

The Del Mar College Board of Trustees includes nine regents in a modified single-member district configuration. Five regents represent specific geographic districts while four serve at-large.
