Hero Collector Expands Star Trek Starship Galaxy with Universe Collection and Starfleet Starship Collection
NEW YORK, December 1, 2021 / PRNewswire / – The Galaxy of Hero Collector’s Star Trek collections boldly continues to grow with the launch of the Star Trek Starfleet Starship Collection, who joins their Star Trek: Universe Collection to satisfy new and old fans of the franchise.
The Starfleet Starship Collection gives fans the opportunity to collect essential Starfleet ships, including the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D, USS Defiant NX-74205, USS Enterprise NCC-1701, USS Voyager NCC-74656 and Company NX-01; while the Star Trek: Universe Collection presents three new ships of Star Trek: Discovery, including the USS Discovery-A (Refit), Section 31 Deimos-Class and Cleveland Booker’s boat.
These iconic spaceships form the basis of the most comprehensive collection of Star Trek ships never assembled, and each ship comes with a magazine that includes a detailed profile of the ship, behind-the-scenes information on her creation, original sketches and interviews with artists / designers.
Among the ships of the monthly Star Trek Starfleet Starship Collection – which will eventually include more than 60 vessels – are:
USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D: Captain Picard commanded the crew of this 24eFederation Galaxy class spaceship from the last century. The fifth Federation ship to proudly bear the name Business, she was the flagship of the Federation from 2363 until its destruction in 2371.
USS Voyager NCC-74656: A 24eIntrepid Federation class ship of the century, the highly sophisticated Traveler got stranded in the Delta Quadrant in 2371. Although everyone on board expected it to take 75 years to return home, Captain Janeway and his crew returned in seven years.
Company NX-01: The very first NX-class spacecraft, the NX-01 was launched – under the command of Captain Archer – by United Earth Starfleet in 2151. Among its many accomplishments, the NX-01 helped destroy the Xindi weapon.
New ships joining the Star Trek: Universe Collection are:
USS Discovery-A (refurbishment): USS Discovery NCC-1031 underwent a major overhaul after the ship’s sudden arrival in the 32nd century. It was upgraded with futuristic technology and returned to service as a NCC-1031-A.
Section 31 Deimos Class: Section 31 has secretly developed and deployed a number of stealth ships, with the Deimos-class serving as the mothership. Based on a Federation design for a smaller Intel science destroyer, it was extended to nearly 900 meters in length.
Cleveland Booker’s Boat: Book’s little scout ship is equipped with a concealment device, a subspace communication system, and several faster-than-light propulsion systems. The ship’s “morphing” capacity allows it to reassemble in different configurations… even in mid-flight.
Ships in both collections are as precise as they can get onscreen, with CBS Studios overseeing every phase of production – and all ships are made from high-quality die-cast metal and resin, then carefully hand-painted. Additionally, the spaceships are produced to the same scale to maintain collection compatibility and come with a base and stand for easy display.
