No collection of tickets at tax offices

The Jamaican Revenue Authority (TAJ) wishes to inform taxpayers that it is currently unable to

to collect payment for ticket fines at a tax office or via the online tax office

system.

This inevitable challenge is the result of the finalized list of traffic violations

codes not yet provided to the tax administration to make changes to its systems,

to allow the recovery of fines as defined by the recent modification of the applicable regime

law.

The respective agencies endeavor to remedy this as quickly as possible.

This means that fines for traffic violations as defined by legislation presented to a tax office

or attempted to be paid online will not be accepted or processed, and individuals are urged not to visit tax offices or attempt to make payments online.

People in this category are advised to go to the courts or contact the Ministry of National Security to be further away guided.

The Jamaican Revenue Authority will continue to work with its partners, who are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
