Opening of a rapid antigen test collection point in the region | The Transcontinental

A collection point for Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) opened in Hawker, Quorn and Roxby Downs today, February 10, 2022.

The Quorn collection point is located at the Quorn Hospital and will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Hawker Memorial Hospital is another collection point that will be open from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Residents of Roxby Downs can collect RATs from the Health Department at 16-28 Burgoyne Street between 10.30am and 12pm, Sunday to Friday.

In accordance with SA Health guidelines, people who are in close contact with a COVID-19 case and have no symptoms can sign up to collect four free RATs to be tested on Days 1, 3, 5 and 7 (alternate days ) quarantine or they can have a PCR test on D1 and D6.

The test regimens are as follows:

Close contact with symptoms of COVID-19

  • Quarantine for 7 days from exposure (date of exposure day 0)
  • CPR test as soon as possible and on day 6 of quarantine

Close contact and no symptoms of COVID-19

  • Quarantine for 7 days from exposure (date of exposure day 0)
  • PCR test as soon as possible and on day 6 OR
  • Rapid antigen test – register to collect free tests and test on days 1, 3, 5 and 7

Symptoms of COVID-19, but no known contacts

  • CPR test
  • Quarantine until receiving a negative result
