Soapy Joe’s is the first car wash to launch the NFT Collection, bringing one-of-a-kind digital collectibles to San Diego with real-world utility

Car wash customers visit the location, unlocking IRL prizes and NFTs along the way

SAN DIEGO, Calif./ACCESSWIRE/July 6, 2022/ soapy joe, San Diego’s family-loved car wash, today announced the launch of its Passport to Fun NFT Collection where San Diego residents can collect digital collectibles commemorating each Soapy Joe location they visit. The 16 NFTs in the collection feature themes reflecting neighborhood car wash locations, each a variation on the brand’s classic air freshener design. Members are encouraged to “visit, collect and win” for a chance to win big prizes throughout the summer. As the first car wash to launch an NFT collection, the brand continues its journey of innovation while focusing on member experience and community engagement. The promotion starts July 1 and ends September 30, 2022. To start collecting, you must be a (new or existing) member of Soapy Joe’s Wash Club with a registered email.

Here’s how to play.

Wash Club members are encouraged to visit multiple Soapy Joe’s locations to unlock four prize tiers – the more you visit, the more you earn.

Each of Soapy Joe’s locations has its own unique air freshener design and corresponding NFT. Soapy Joe’s tracks member visits using their RFID tag and offers weekly prizes. Members unlock prizes from 4 sites visited.

The program prices are as follows. Each level includes 4 NFTs:

  • Once a player has visited four locations, they will receive all four NFTs via email, along with a code to redeem a hat, keychain, and 50 cents per gallon gas discount until September 30, 2022.

  • Once a player visits eight locations, they will receive four additional NFTs via email, along with a code to redeem a large 15-inch Soapy plush pillow.

  • Once a player has visited 12 locations, they will receive four additional NFTs via email and win a day in San Diego for two, including meals at participating restaurants such as Breakfast Republic, Luna Grill or Texas Roadhouse and tickets to San Diego attractions like SeaWorld, a The Padre’s Game or SD Loyal or Legoland!

  • And for the grand prize: once a player hits all 16 slots, they’ll receive their last four NFTs via email and a one-year annual Magic Joe membership worth nearly $400. All participants who reach this level are eligible to win a cash prize of $5,000.

In addition to NFTs and “soapy swag”, Soapy Joe’s is offering a 50 cents/gallon fuel discount valid at each of its four associated gas stations at Jackson Dr., Sweetwater Rd, W. Bernardo Dr. and Camino del Rio N. Once unlocked in Price Tier 1, the discount can be used by the original wearer until 9/30/22.
