The upcoming holiday season will bring changes to garbage and recycling collection schedules for some city residents over the next two weeks.

Midland City offices and services will be closed on Friday December 24 and Monday December 27 for the Christmas holidays. Residents with the waste collection on Friday December 24 and Friday of week 3 must drop off items curbside on Thursday December 23. Residents with the waste collection on Monday December 27 and Monday of week 4 must drop off the items on the border on December 28.

Offices and services will also be closed on Friday December 31st on the occasion of the New Year’s holiday. Residents with the waste collection on Friday December 31st and Friday of week 4 must drop off the items curbside on Monday January 3.

Place items at the curb no later than 7:30 a.m. to ensure collection. Households whose garbage collection and recycling are impacted by holiday closings received a postcard in the mail last week.

Residents can find all of the city’s regular and holiday collection times, as well as set email and mobile alert reminders, using the free Recycle Coach app available on mobile on iTunes Store and Google Play or online at www.recyclecoach.com.
